Stromboli is a longtime family dinner favorite. Now, it’s even easier to make thanks to Pillsbury™ pizza dough and five more simple ingredients! Quick, easy and packed with flavor, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be making this seriously delicious take on the cousin to pizza. With 15 minutes of prep time and 35 minutes total to make, it’ll save you a whole lot of time spent in the kitchen and give you back a few more minutes to sit down and enjoy the meal with the fam.


1/2lb. lean ground beef (at least 80% lean)

1(13.8-oz.) can Pillsbury™ refrigerated classic pizza crust

1/4cup pizza sauce4oz.

(1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4cup chopped green and/or red bell pepper, if desired

1/4teaspoon dried Italian seasoning


  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Brown ground beef in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain. Set aside.
  2. Unroll dough; place on sprayed cookie sheet. Starting at center, press out dough with hands to form 12×8-inch rectangle.

3. Spread sauce over dough to within 2 inches of long sides and 1/2 inch of short sides. Place cooked ground beef lengthwise down the center, forming a 3-inch-wide strip and to within 1/2 inch of short sides. Top with cheese, bell pepper, and Italian seasoning. Fold long sides of dough over filling; press edges to seal.

4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
